    Here's what I don't get. Why is everyone giving Hasbro grief about this? Scrabulous is ripping off their work. Bloggers always complain about their intellectual property being used without permission or compensation. Scrabble IS Hasbro's intellectual property. It's their right and they shouldn't get grief about protecting it.

    Patrick,
    It would seem that many are unhappy that Hasbro didn't just make a concerted effort to partner with an already successful product, Scrabulous. Yes, Hasbro has the North American intellectual property rights and I'd wager they were obligated to legally challenge Scrabulous.

    For my money's worth, the Hasbro version will likely adopt some of the favorite Scrabulous features and call it a day. Sadly, my experience with big corps is they'll put just enough effort in and then let it die a slow death. If they were really passionate about it, they'd have brought this to fruition sooner.
