I've decided that if when I check the responses if it's
not on my screen, I don't see it. You can always change to just
showing your own if you want to see replies to chats you've started.

The @ thing works just like it does in Twitter. If I @mousewords,
then in the text it shows up a link to your profile. It doesn't
appear though that the person on the other end of the @name gets a
message or alert of any sort. Kinda useless for making sure they see
it. However, it does show up in their timeline if they are following
you. It would draw my attention. :)

Thanks for chiming in.

Re: Plurk Me?

I do like the chat feature--it's like, well, a mini chat room. :-) I also like the refresh feature--I'd love it if my Twitter page auto-refreshed.

My CO-fried brain (with a side of melted Swiss cheese) is having troubles managing the features, though--when I look at my page, everything scatters into little bits for me. :-) Needing to scroll, and trying to keep track of comments, kind of overwhelms me. I feel just a tiny bit out to sea, since I don't know how to "@" someone a new subject from my status bar (just a comment, not a direct message). So I hang out in everyone else's comments. ;-) Oy, and seeing "168 Unread" on my page puts me into panic mode... ;-)

The Karma game just puts me under, as far as brain power goes--so I'm going to be stuck with beta level emoticons for a while, lol :-D

I'm sure I'll get used to some of the things, but that's my first impressions. And here's my page--headless cartoon animal and all. ;-) http://www.plurk.com/user/mousewords
