  • Someone I know is considering a military career, so thanks for this positive post on what you can take away from the experience. I found your blog in today's list at http://www.successful-blog.com and have subscribed to your RSS feed.
  • ddalgleish, thanks for dropping by and commenting. I'm sure that someone in your life will learn a lot with some time in the military. Encourage them to make the most of it.
  • You're definitely a Successful and Outstanding Blogger, so it was great to see you on the Blog-to List!

This post is awesome. In a way, maybe the points are obvious; I *know* I know them. But they way you put the list together totally struck a chord with me. I am bookmarking this one to read every day for a while. Thank you!
  • Hey there! Thanks for kind words. I'm working at it everyday and it's good to get some feedback.

Thank you for your comment about the post itself as well. I really do feel like lessons we've learned earlier in life can still be applied. I regret too that I've forgotten these lessons over time and needed to be reminded.

As always, your support and encouragement are appreciated.
  • Anytime :-)
  • While certainly not a military type (unlike other High School rockers, though, I had and still have a TREMENDOUS respect for military types!), this is great advice that works well in all areas of life, whether you play in a band, write a blog, work as an engineer, or work as a janitor.

The basics of any occupation or pastime are the same.

Excellent post and insights, as always!
  • Thanks Gregg. I'm with you. if you've had a job where you've taken it seriously, you learned some things. Things that are reusable across your life. So glad you stopped by.
  • All great points! And you are absolutely right that we think we know these, but sometimes fall short. Thanks!
  • These are all really great points. I am not the best at incorporating all of these - but it is important to remember that you will be the BEST if you do remember and use them all.
